Examples

PlayMovie example The simplest ogg player.

Rotate example Shows how the video can be rotated.

PrintMovieTime example Shows how to use the time() function

AdvancedPlayer example Is a player with play/pause, stop, increase and decrease speed and time counter.

Invert example Shows how to access the pixels of the video in order to process them. This example inverts the color values (negative image), but you could do any other image processing operation.

Texture1 example A video playing in a 3D rectangle. It is similar to the Processing.org example that you can find in File→Examples→3D→Textures→Texture1 but it uses a Theora movie instead of a bitmap.

Texture3 example A video playing in a cylinder. It is similar to the Processing.org example that you can find in File→Examples→3D→Textures→Texture1 but it uses a Theora movie instead of a bitmap.

TelevisionSet example Plays a movie in a 3D television set.

ExtractMovieFrames example Saves all the frames of a Theora OGG video in an image file. This is a good starting point to use Pogg in general Java applications.

All these examples play BugsShort.ogg, a short version of the Bugs Bunny movie "Falling Hare" which is in the public domain. You can download the complete version from the Internet Archive.

You can play any other Theora OGG file instead. If you have a movie with a different format you can convert it to Theora OGG using VLC.

hey

I am having the worst time understanding what you mean by “processing/libraries folder” (in your sketchbook). I open up my sketchbook which I am assuming you mean the actual form in which you write your code in and, and I cannot seem to find the libraries folder. Once i find libraries foler, do I place pogg into that folder?

thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

See that page: http://wiki.processing.org/w/How_to_Install_a_Contributed_Library

I hope it helps,

Octavi
